Your Key Responsibilities as a Green Card Holder

Register with USCIS
  • Create account at my.uscis.gov
  • Complete Form G325R online
  • Attend biometrics (if required)
  • Carry proof of registration (age 18+)
Maintain U.S. Residency
  • Keep the U.S. as your main home
  • Avoid stays abroad over 6 months
  • Use a re-entry permit if staying abroad >12 months
File U.S. Taxes
  • File Form 1040 as a resident
